Access Spotify Insights in Excel

Data results output in Excel

This API is for any label or licensor whose music is on Spotify. This API contains the same data as analytics.spotify.com. See below on how to get API access.

Streams by Dimension

Returns the number of streams during a period broken down by one of the following dimensions:

  • Product - The user's product (either free or premium)
  • Sex - The user's gender (neutral, male, female, or unknown)
  • Age - An age span. unknown for streams with an unknown age.
  • Country - The country
  • Total - No aggregation

Daily Streams

Returns the daily number of streams during a period, optionally broken down by age, gender or product.

Resource URI Input

Use the URI string which is identical to the Spotify Insights web portal links. Resources include track, artist, and episode.

Access

Add from Manager

The Spotify Insights Connector is available in the Connectors Manager in the top ribbon:

Head over to the Music Category and install Spotify Insights:

API Access

This API is for music licensors with a direct distribution relationship with Spotify.

  1. Go to Spotify Analytics and click on "Request Provider API Access" in the footer. After Spotify has reviewed your application they will send an email to the provided email address.

  2. Follow the instructions and copy the API Token and Secret. Paste in the Spotify Insights Connector Settings menu: Paste credentials in Excel
